Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 6, 2026
Ads Your Own is built around one rule: we don't have a server-side database of your data. Almost everything below follows from that.
What Ads Your Own is
Ads Your Own ("we", "the app") is a tool that helps small businesses, artists, and musicians create simple advertising campaigns on Facebook and Instagram using Meta's Marketing API. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Meta Platforms, Inc.
How you log in
You log in using Facebook Login. You enter your Facebook password on Facebook's own login page — Ads Your Own never receives, sees, or stores your password. Facebook returns Ads Your Own a limited-permission access token instead, scoped only to what's needed to manage ads on your behalf (creating campaigns, reading your ad accounts and Pages).
Where your data is stored
Your Facebook access token is encrypted (AES-256, via your browser's built-in WebCrypto API) and stored only in your browser's local storage (IndexedDB) on your own device. It is never sent to, or stored on, any Ads Your Own server. When you use the app, requests to Meta's Marketing API (graph.facebook.com) are made directly from your browser.
Ads Your Own has no user accounts, no user database, and no analytics that identify you individually. There is nothing about you sitting on our infrastructure to be breached, subpoenaed, or sold.
What Ads Your Own can access on your behalf
Depending on the permissions you approve during login, Ads Your Own may read or act on:
- Your ad accounts and their currency/status (to create campaigns)
- Your Facebook Pages (to post ads as your Page)
- Your Meta Pixels (to help you track website results for Sales campaigns)
- Ad campaigns, ad sets, ad creatives, and ads that Ads Your Own creates for you
Ads Your Own only creates or modifies advertising objects that you explicitly build through the wizard. It never posts to your Page's timeline, reads your personal messages, or accesses friends' data.
Deleting your data
Click Disconnectin the app at any time to permanently delete the encrypted token and encryption key from your browser. You can also revoke Ads Your Own's access entirely from your Facebook account at Settings → Business Integrations. Because we store nothing server-side, there is no separate "delete my account" request to make — disconnecting is deletion.
Cookies and tracking
Ads Your Own does not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics on pages where you are logged in. The Meta JavaScript SDK, loaded to support Facebook Login, may set its own cookies per Meta's own policies.
Children
Ads Your Own is not directed at children and requires a Facebook account, which itself requires users to meet Facebook's minimum age requirements.
